How does the franchise link work?

Connect several locations that are each their own company, and move between them without logging in again.

Do you run several locations that are each their own company? With 'Franchise' you can connect your accounts, meaning you can move between them without logging in again. Each location keeps its own client records and its own subscription, and you decide which permissions the franchise gets in your account. Find out everything you need to know about Franchise links below.

Remember, in case the Franchise option doesn't quite fit what you need, you can choose to use Multi-Location instead. Not sure yet which one works best for you? Take a look here to find out more: Working with several locations.

What stays separate per location when using the Franchise link?

  • Almost everything. Each location stays its own company with its own client records and its own subscription.

  • The link simply grants access to the accounts, but it does not merge the data.

  • If you prefer one shared set of client records and one booking widget, then Multi-Location is the setup you are looking for.

How can I get a franchise code?

  • If you're starting a new franchise: Contact our support team and ask for the identifier code. We create the franchise and give you the code. A franchise only exists once we create it for you, and it comes with one identifier code that covers the whole franchise.

  • Are you joining a franchise that already exists? Then the code already exists. Ask your franchise representative for it; the screen points you there as well.

Please note: only share the code with locations that genuinely belong to the franchise: whoever enters it grants the franchise access to their own account.

How can I switch the franchise link on?

You need an owner account for this. With any other permission types, you won't have access to the link.

  • Go to Settings > General > Integrations and look for Franchise support.

  • Enter the code in Franchise identifier.

  • Under Permissions, tick the rights the franchise gets.

  • Save to create the link.

Please note: this grants other users in the franchise access to your account and your data.

Which permissions can I give the franchise?

You choose per level what the franchise can see and do, from reports only through to full owner rights. Owner rights can only go to someone who is an owner in the franchise themselves. You can change this later.

How can I move between locations when using the franchise link?

Once the link is in place, a toggle appears in the top bar of your account. Locations are listed by their internal name, and from eight companies onwards you can search the list. The ones you used most recently sit at the top.

How can I switch the franchise link off again?

Turn Franchise support off again on the same page. The link is broken and the franchise no longer has access to your account. Your own data stays in place.
