The 'Repeat appointment' option adds a whole series of appointments to your calendar at once – for a client who books the same cut and finish every few weeks, for example. Need to change one appointment later, such as its time? You can, without touching the rest of the series. Here's how to change or delete an appointment in a series, and how to stop the whole series at once.
How do I change every future appointment in a series?
Say you've created this recurring appointment: every Saturday, weekly, with 5 appointments booked at once.
As long as you haven't changed anything in the series, every appointment looks the same.
Want to move every future appointment, say from 12:45 to 14:45? Click 'Reschedule', or drag the appointment to a new time in the calendar.
In the window that opens, choose 'All future recurring appointments'.
Choose 'Only this appointment' instead, and that appointment is no longer part of the series once you save – it becomes an individual appointment. Other changes to the series no longer apply to it.
How do I change a single appointment in a series?
Want to move a single appointment in the series, to a different time or day? Find it and click 'Reschedule', or drag it in the calendar.
In the window that opens, choose 'Only this appointment'.
Want to make another change to it, such as checking out, adding a treatment report, adding a note or filling in a form? Activate the appointment first. Once you activate it, it's no longer part of the series and you can change anything.
How do I delete one appointment or every future appointment?
Deleting an appointment in a series gives you the same choice: delete only this one, or this and every future appointment.
Find the appointment and click 'Delete'.
Choose whether to delete only this appointment, or this and every future one in the series.
You'll only see this choice on a later appointment in the series. On the very first appointment, you delete the whole series at once instead – see below.
Can I delete the whole series at once?
Yes. Open the very first appointment in the series through the 'More' button, then click 'Delete'.
You'll see a warning that this deletes every appointment in the series. Confirm, and the whole series disappears from your calendar at once.
