Important: To comply with the new EU legislation (DAC-7), you must update your tax information on Treatwell before 14th December. Non-compliance may affect your Treatwell payments.
Every year, Treatwell complies with the UK and EU Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms (DRR for the UK and DAC7 for the EU) on behalf of our salon partners.
These rules mean we need to collect a few business details from you so your Treatwell account stays compliant.
What are the Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms, and why do they apply to me?
The UK Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms, DRR (or EU Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms, if you are based in the EU, DAC7) are part of a government regulation. They require digital platforms like Treatwell to collect and verify certain business information from partners who receive payouts through the platform.
This helps the UK and EU governments make sure all businesses trading on digital platforms are correctly registered for tax purposes. It’s not unique to Treatwell - all UK and EU platforms must follow these rules.
What information do I need to provide for UK Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms (DRR) compliance, and how?
We’ll only ask for a few key details that confirm your business identity and tax status. Depending on how your business is set up, this could include:
Your full name (if self-employed) or registered business name
Legal form (for example: sole trader, limited company, partnership)
Registered business address
National Insurance Number (if you’re self-employed) and/or VAT number (if you’re VAT-registered)
Business registration number (if applicable)
Bank account details where you receive Treatwell payouts
How do I submit my data for Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms (DRR or DAC7 for the EU) compliance?
You will see a pop-up in your Treatwell Connect calendar. Just click on the link and add any missing information that is highlighted.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us via chat.
What’s the deadline for submitting my Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms (DRR or DAC7) details?
Please submit your information by 14 December 2026.
It’s important that we receive this information on time - without it, you won’t be able to meet the regulatory requirements, and your access to the Treatwell platform may be paused in December. We recommend completing the form as soon as possible to avoid any interruption to your Treatwell services.
Given the current scams that are happening, how can I be sure that I am sharing my data with Treatwell?
Your safety is our top priority. You’ll only ever be asked to share details:
Through a secure link sent from an official Treatwell email address (ending in @treatwell.co.uk or @treatwell.com), or directly inside your account via our trusted verification partner, Stripe.
We’ll never contact you through WhatsApp, text message or social media asking for personal or financial information.
If you’re unsure about a message, please reach out to us through chat before sharing anything.
How will Treatwell handle my Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms (DRR or DAC7) data?
Your information will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and security.
It will only be used for UK Reporting Rules (DRR) compliance if you are based in the UK, or EU Reporting Rules (DAC7) compliance if you are based in the EU - never for marketing or any other purpose.
We’ll store it securely and retain it only for as long as required by our legal and tax obligations. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.
