How do I qualify for Top Rated?
Top Rated is awarded to salons that consistently deliver brilliant experiences on Treatwell - based on real data from real clients.
To qualify, we look at the previous 12 months of reviews. This year, we’ll count reviews from the 1st October 2025 until the 18th October 2026. You need to meet two clear thresholds:
A minimum number of reviews: You’ll need to meet a minimum number of reviews to be considered. The more clients you ask for feedback, the closer you’ll get.
A minimum percentage of 5-star reviews: It’s not just about quantity - it’s about quality too. We look at the percentage of reviews that are 5 stars to recognise salons that consistently deliver outstanding service. To keep it as fair as possible, we will group thresholds by salon size, so don’t worry, whether you have one team member or many, your chances to get Top Rated won’t be negatively impacted!
There’s no application process. If you meet both, you’re in. If not, you’re out. Simple, transparent, and fair - no matter the size of your business.
In short: The more happy clients you have leaving great reviews, the better your chances of earning the badge.
What can I do to achieve Top Rated?
1. Get more bookings through Treatwell
More appointments mean more chances to deliver a great experience - and to collect those all-important reviews.
Use Treatwell tools like your ‘Book Now’ button, rebook reminders, SMS credits and discounts to grow your own client base and ensure your clients keep coming back
For example: If you’re regularly booked and clients regularly are leaving 5-star reviews - you’re on the right track.
2. Deliver amazing experiences, every time
Quality really counts. We look for venues that are consistently loved - not just one good week, but long-term excellence.
For example: A steady stream of 5-star reviews throughout the year is much stronger than a sudden spike.
3. Encourage happy clients to leave reviews
Don’t be shy - ask! Clients who had a great experience are often more than happy to shout about it. Ask them how their experience was after the appointment, and if they could leave a review if they are happy with the service they received.
4. Keep your Treatwell profile looking its best
From your treatment list to your photos - make sure everything’s up-to-date and showcases what you do best. Clients are more likely to book (and review) if your profile is clear, appealing, and easy to browse.
When and how will I find out if I’ve earned a Top Rated badge?
Top-rated badges are awarded every October. You’ll receive an email if you’ve been selected. There’s no need to apply - if you’re doing the right things (great service, strong reviews, regular bookings), you’ll be automatically considered.
What are the benefits of being Top Rated?
A Top Rated badge on your Treatwell profile: The badge then remains on your Treatwell profile for a full year, allowing customers to distinguish you as one of our best salons. Not only that, but Top Rated salons see an increase in bookings after they get their badge.

Where can I find my online Top Rated Badge?
We will show your most recent Top Rated badge in the list of salons customers see when searching the Treatwell Online Booking Platform (Marketplace), as well as at the top of your venue page when a customer is booking or visiting your page.
We will also show the list of your previous years' badges at the bottom of the venue page.
Here, if you’ve been awarded 5 Top Rated badges consecutively, you will also see the Golden Badge, meaning you’ve achieved the 5 Years Award.
This badge symbolises consistent quality over the years, an excellent achievement marking client trust and five-star service!
